Muscat is to follow in the footsteps of Salalah and will now have its own water park.
The project, in Al Bustan, was announced by BBH Group as the new worker city in Rusayl was opened by H.E Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Shabibi, Minister of Housing, alongside Dr. Khalid bin Salem Al Mata’ani, Chairman of BBH Group and a large group of guests.
The group also revealed that they will build a hotel on the beach of Al-Ashkharah that will incorporate about 100 three-star chalets and that construction of a traditional 54,000-square-metre market in Seeb will start soon.
This project, costing OMR 39 million, will include 1,000 shops inspired by heritage and blending the contemporary. Also included is a traditional Omani-style hotel simulating the decorations of ancient Omani architecture, a multi-stage theatre, and picnic and other facilities that will attract shoppers to the area while providing parking for a thousand cars.
