The Sawarah photography group of the children’s welfare centre in Al Khoudh has won in World Cup of Photography held in Germany.
The group won the contest in the U-21 category. Fifty-eight countries participated in the competition.
A total of 48 photographs by the group members were approved by the judges.
The group members are Said bin Hassan Abdullah, Wardah bint Abdul Salim Abdullah, Aziz bin Ahmed al Hakmani, Adnan bin Asaad al Majni and Tareq bin Salah al Shibli. They received medals of honour.
Sawarah Group was founded in October 2015. It aims to care for the children’s welfare and their rehabilitation and win international titles.
The group aims to have photographers who can participate in exhibitions, and represent the sultanate in international forums.
